| NSE4256
The NSE4256 is a Network Search Engine (NSE) with a database capacity of 256K IPv4 36-bit entries. The device also supports entry sizes of 72-bits, 144-bits, 288-bits, and 576-bits. Multiple database entry widths are supported allowing for various table sizes while preserving 100% table utilization.
NetLogic Microsystems' network search engines perform high-speed parallel search operations on databases. They allow for up to 83 million searches per second, providing network awareness and updates/modifications, making them ideal for packet classification, policy enforcement, CIDR forwarding, MPLS searches, ATM searches and/or QoS enforcement for differentiated services in core, edge, campus and enterprise networking applications.
